well known example of this is the Eiffel Tower whose owners have been
known to chase down those who claim copyright over night-time pictures
of the tower due to the particular way they arrange the lights.
Do we have any evidence that this has ever been ruled as valid under
U.S. copyright law? I know nothing of French copyright law and do not
claim to, but this strikes me as something that a court would knock
down in five minutes in the United States.
