You do realise that we currently have a great arbitrator who is 17,
and we have a bureocrat who was elected when he was 13 (I think it was
13 at least).
Booting underage users is not an option, because frankly, some of them rule.

Yes, exactly. Nevertheless, Stan's point regarding legal standing *is* a
good one...perhaps we make a warning during registration clear that
minors must have parental approval before editing? (Although for anons,
it gets tricky...)
As a 16-year-old, though, I probably wouldn't take kindly to editing if
I had to run through tonnes of red tape just to make some changes,
especially when I began editing anonymously at 13. (And just for the
record, my parents are aware of my activities on Wikipedia, and not only
approve but encourage them. :p)
