This isn't the place for discussing the basics of Wikipedia editing,
but I have to say that there seems to be an appalling display of
ignorance in this thread. As I say, this isn't the place, so I'll
leave it there.
But it's not about the basics of editing or answering FAQs on that.
It's about policy interpretation; that strikes me as perfectly
appropriate. When others disagree with your interpretations it does not
imply that they are ignorant.
