Florida has some pretty generous Sunshine Laws covering what's
available to the general public. The police report is a public
record, so that should be easy enough to get. I got the university
cops to fax me one once. IIRC, the incident began as a result of an
email, and that email, since it was (presumably) sent to a state
employee at a work email address, is a public record too.
