The name in question certainly tends to be shouted from rooftops for
no apparent reason. I can only speak for myself with certainty (and
then only sometimes) but I suspect most people know which name is
associated with this user long before bothering to read about the
nature of his edits or why he was banned.
But it's on my to-do list.

Yeah. I didn't say it was near the top. Somewhere south of advancing

status, more like.
At the end of most days, most people will take most people's word for
it. This is a strength and a weakness of unregulated growth. It's
about like living in a big city, you won't know anything about anyone
except what they tell you and read on the subway walls, neither of
which should be taken seriously.
Ok, I've never been on a damn subway but you get the point.
