Etc, etc, etc. Besides the fact that you've never presented any evidence for
these various claims, you're following a familiar pattern here, Irate. Rather
than acknowledging any wrongdoing on your own part, you're employing the tired
trick of showering myriad accusations on everyone else. Remember, adults take
responsibility for their own actions. Can you honestly believe that you've been
treated unfairly?

LOL! Watch out, John, your prejudices are showing...

A nutcase! A nutcase!
(Sorry about that, I can't resist a good(?) pun!)

A hint: if you're going to make comments about someone's intelligence, make
sure that your spelling and grammar are top-notch. Otherwise, you open yourself
up to, er, cheap shots ;-)

No, not at all. So long as it is not imposed on
everybody else.

I don't want to be forced to go to a link every time I
want to see an image. If there were some way to do it
in the Preferences, then I have no problem at all.

Hi, I've consistently updated this wikipage by supporting edits with

Could you please ban user 68.165.99.171

Why on earth should I? In the first instance, it does, to me, sound like a
smokescreen to distract attention from your own childish behaviour. Moreover,
providing a random link to an archive page is not sufficient. If you want to
present a case, go and put in the hard work of diffs, links etc. Remember all
the effort we went to to list your bad behaviour in your Arbitration case? We
didn't just make ethereal statements that "Irate is bad", we *documented* your
tantrums. If you wish to have anyone pay attention to your own claims, you're
expected to do the same.
> Is it simply that you believe you speak on behalf of God?
Why do you feel it necessary to bring my faith into this discussion?
> How is my bias showing? What biases are they?
You have questioned my honesty based on your assumption that I'm 1) "posh"; 2)
privately educated; and 3) a practising Christian. That sounds like prejudice
to me.
> I have noting that you belong to several sections of society not known for
> there honesty. You statements are all based on your faith that you are right,
You have no idea about me. Why do you think I'm "posh"? What do you know about
my education?
> It is unimaginable to you that you are wrong.
I'm quite prepared to consider that I might be in the wrong. It would, however,
be in the face of criticism from someone other than yourself -- I don't have
any confidence in your judgement. However, all the objective evidence suggests
that you are wrong. I trust the Wikipedia community's collective opinion, and
that opinion has, to date, exclusively condemned your behaviour, and not mine.
Remember the RfC against your conduct that was certified by nineteen users? The
ArbCom ruling? This is rational evidence here, not faith.
> The same kind of fact free faith you take to church on Sunday.
Again, why do you need to have a go at my faith? I've never brought it into our
discussions, but you bring it up just to attack me with it. I'm afraid it makes
you sound like quite a bigot.
> As you say cheap shots.
See above.

You claimed I have low intelligence (and your claim had bad spelling and
grammar). But regardless, I've claimed nothing about your intelligence. Sadly,
you appear to take "agreeing with John Bradley" as an indicator of
intelligence. I would suggest that's more than shallow.

The Opus Dei article is a total propagdana piece. It makes
no attempt at all to objectively describe Opus Dei.
Rather, it reads like an Opus Dei proselytizing tract.
There are many serious, sustained and important criticisms
of Opus Dei, especially from Catholics! There are similar
criticisms from many people worried about their cult-like
behaviour. However, the article only minimally mentions
these controversies, glosses over them, and then disposes
of them with generic apologetics. That style of writing
violates our NPOV policy.
The article, as it stood when I read it, is an embarassment
to any work that claims to be an encyclopedia. The
problems with it are not merely that it is part of a "work
under construction". The problems are:
* It represents agressive religious proselytizing which
clearly flouts NPOV.
* It offers no serious academic or critical-historical
analysis.
* It minimizes and makes apologetics for the vast amount of
criticism in such a way that one might rightfully call the
article "censored."

So when is your ban going to end, so you can log in and help fix the
article? (Or at least, request early parole from the arbcom to write
comments on talk pages!)
Helpfully,
Uncle Ed
Greetings Wikipedia
I thoroughly enjoy your "Wikipedia" site. It's a great source of information and enlightenment. Being a Canadian, of Serbian descent, it's the cultural aspects that grab my attention. Not only for those that share my ethnic background. But, other groups as well.
I'm assuming that my e-mail will be directed to the proper channels. On your "List of Serbs" page, there are a few glaring omissions I wish to bring to your attention. I, for the most part, have supplied links which clearly indicate the person's Serbian heritage. These names should be under "List of Serbs."
(1) Alex Lifeson (Zivojinovich) - Guitarist for the Canadian based rock band "Rush." > http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0509820/bio .
(2) Brad Dexter (Boris Milanovich) - Hollywood actor > http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0223290/bio .
(3) Lolita Davidovich - Hollywood actress > http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0000357/bio .
(4) Paul Stojanovich - Hollywood producer/director for "World's Wildest Police Chases" and "Cops." > http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0831236/bio .
(5) Rade Serbedzija - European/Hollywood actor (Currently listed amongst "List of Croatians" as an "ethnic Serb". While he was born in Croatia. Mr. Serbedzija is indeed Serbian. Thus, he should also be under "List of Serbs."). > http://entertainment.lycos.com/celebrities/celebrity_bio.asp?id=12926&paget… .
(6) Bill Vukovich - Won "Indy 500" twice. > http://espn.go.com/classic/biography/s/Vukovich_Bill.html .
(7) Peter Vuckovich - Baseball player who won the Cy Young Award > http://www.jsonline.com/sports/brew/aug02/65191.asp (Read under "Brewers rally" and "Questions umpire").
(8) Walter Dropo - Baseball player who was named AL Rookie-of-the-Year in 1950. > http://apse.dallasnews.com/contest1999/writing/100-250.hartford8.html .
(9) Peter Zezel - Hockey (NHL) player from Canada. > http://collections.ic.gc.ca/heirloom_series/volume7/countries/serbia10.html .
(10) George Yerich - Respected entrepreneur from Canada > http://collections.ic.gc.ca/heirloom_series/volume7/countries/serbia7.html .
(11) George "Blind Bomber" Glamack - Basketball player who had his #20 retired by UNC and was a two-time NCAA Player-of-the-Year.
(12) Bob O'Billovich - Football (CFL) coach who won the "Grey Cup" while with the Toronto Argonauts.
(13) Mila Mulroney (nee Pivnicki) - Was Canada's "First Lady." > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mila_Pivnicki or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Mulroney .
(14) Rose Ann Vuich - First woman to be elected to the State Senate in California. > http://www.sen.ca.gov/womenscaucus/history.htp .
(15) Gregg Popovich - Basketball coach and two-time NBA champion. > http://www.nba.com/spurs/news/quotes_spurs_030611.html (Read last "Q & A" under "David Robinson).
(16) Mel Vojvodich - U.S.A.F. officer. > http://www.landings.com/_landings/pacflyer/dec6-2003/Dn-50-mel-vojvodich.ht… .
(17) Mike Mamula - Football (NFL) player (now retired).
One name you can easily omit from the "List of Serbs" is that of actor John Malkovich. He's of Croatian ancestry. Not Serbian. Again, I hope this e-mail will be forwarded to the proper sources within "Wikipedia." Thanks so much for your time and patience. I look forward to a reply at your convenience. Cheers.

So long as he doesn't try to get another User's User

JoiIto just told me we could be nominated for the Ars
Electronica digital community prize for Wikicommons.
Well, we were nominated but nobody had accepted the
nomination till today (last day), so we were on verge
of being rejected.
I just accepted the nomination on behalf of the
community.
As a reminder, we got this prize last year for
wikipedia community.
It is worth presenting wikicommmons, as the community
and the interaction between editors is significantly
different than on Wikipedia, in particular due to
multilingualism. Actually, Wikicommons might be the
ultimate type of digital community !
Now, we have about 24 hours to provide information
about wikicommons.
The good news is that Villy recently wrote a text
about wikicommons for Quarto. But he wrote it in
french. Part was translated, but need copyediting.
Other parts were not translated.
Please HELP fix the page till tomorrow and improve it
if you feel it necessary (add pictures, logos...).
This is both IMPORTANT AND URGENT.
I hope some of you can help.
Thanks a lot in advance.
Anthere
(and thanks to villy)
