*Tool of the week *
- CAT🐈 <https://observablehq.com/@pac02/cat-claim-analysis-toolkit> is
an analysis toolkit for items corresponding to a simple claim. For items
corresponding to a claim, it provides a set of statistics and dataviz.
*Other Noteworthy Stuff *
- OpenRefine 3.8-beta1 was released
<https://github.com/OpenRefine/OpenRefine/releases/tag/3.8-beta1>
- Updates to a fork of TFT <https://github.com/AndreaWesterinen/TFT>
(Tester for Triplestore from BorderCloud) can be used to evaluate the
conformance of various graph databases to the RDF SPARQL 1.1 specification.
The repository has been updated to execute the latest W3C RDF SPARQL 1.1
tests <https://github.com/w3c/rdf-tests>. A complete description of the
code base and test modifications, as well as information on how to run the
tests is available on WikiTech
<https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:AndreaWest/WDQS_Testing/Running_TFT>.
This can be used to test alternative stores to WDQS's Blazegraph.
- Do you need to understand constraint violations in Wikidata?
Currently, violation information is not available in the RDF Dumps. A
Jupyter notebook has been created to scrape the mandatory constraint
violations page
<https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Database_reports/Constraint_violations/Mandatory_constraints/Violations>
and construct RDF triples from the data. The notebook to do this
<https://github.com/AndreaWesterinen/Wikidata-and-OWL/blob/main/notebooks/Wikidata-Constraint-Violations.ipynb>
is in GitHub. This tool makes it easier to understand the "noisiness" of
the item data, and enable bots or knowledge-graph code to selectively
delete triples (such as properties with erroneous values), or to insert
triples (for example, adding inverse relationships where they are missing).
