Hello,
tried to add a new item to the Wikidata-repo. Everything works fine but I'm missing a possible feature: The suggestions popping up while entering a keyword is really nice, but sometimes there are more meanings.
In such cases it would really help to have the intro of the wiki in the pop-up, retrieved with e.g. http://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&prop=extracts&exintro...
I know that is one more request, but maybe also the opensearch function could be improved, that is provides this feature by default?
Just another suggestion:
Is it possible to set the same background-color for the pop-up-entries, while stepping through the list with the keybord as by hovering over them with the mouse-cursor? The contrast font-color/background is not very high.

That's exactly what the Label / Description thingy in Wikidata aims for, to provide this kind of disambiguation text.

On which setup? For me, stepping through with my keyboard has exactly the same high contrast as the mouse hovering.

Sorry, you didn't get me correct. What I meant was, that a short extract from the article would be helpful while adding that article to the Wikidata-item while creating this.
There are lemmas already on WP having different meanings, e.g. Bootstrapping (w:de:Bootstrapping). If I want to add one of those articles to the item it would be great to have a short preview of the article, to be sure to choose the right one.
We are talking about the situation where the article isn't yet associated to an item of Wikidata. So there is also no assignment between the article and this Label/Description thing of Wikidata.
BTW: Is it possible to add a link to [[Special:CreateItem]] in the Toolbox on the left hand side?

Iceweasel 10 on Debian Wheezy. But forget about it. Maybe it was my Firebug which used an additional semitransparent color for highlighting, sorry ;-)

Sure, every administrator should be able to do so. It is up to the community if they want that, though :)
