Hi Admins on Wikidata and Wikipedia,
Now that I've moved to China permanently (Wow the internet is super fast!), looks like I will need to ask for an Ipexempt since I need to use my VPN always when accessing any Wikimedia/Wikidata projects. I knew that this would be needed prior to my move, however, I didn't realize how cumbersome the Ipexempt request process might be in my case because of the VPN usage. For example, I cannot seem to complete the Appeal a block which is suggested for VPN users to go through if I understand all the pages I read through[1 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:IP_block_exemption#Requesting_and_granting_exemption ,2 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Unblock_Ticket_Request_System]. It seems it asks for the IP address? but in my case it would need to be global, since the VPN services I use route me all over the world to get around safely and securely. Here's the error that I got when trying to Appeal... Seems like that Appeal page should include a checkbox alternatively to ask "Yes, I need global ip exempt since I will be using a VPN always" ?
[image: image.png] Thanks in advance! If there is another process I need to try to follow, then please let me know in your reply and I'll do my best to try that other process. The talk page template for the unblock request didn't work either since I cannot edit my talk page because of IP blocking.
