Hi all,
many of you have already learned about the untimely death of professor John Riedl this Monday.
Wikimedia Foundation research analyst Dario Taraborelli has just published a blog posting summarizing some of the highly influential contributions of John and his collaborators to the understanding of Wikipedia, and highlighting his call to students and researchers not to remain passive scholars of online collaboration, but to “design tools to directly change how the world works”:

Thanks for the posts, Tilman and Dario.
