Hello!
At the Institute of Government & Public Policies (Autonomous University of Barcelona) (igopnet.cc and http://igop.uab.es/) in cooperation with Amical Viquipedia, we are developing a research on active aging and ICTs. Our program involves both investigating the use and involvement of seniors with Wikipedia, and designing activities in order to further encourage their involvement.
If you like here you could find the presentation of the research project at Meta/Research: http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Active_Aging,_citizenship_%26_partic...
We would appreciate if you could let us know any previous research done on this or related issues, and/or any activity you are aware off directly addressed to senior people.
Thank you very much in advance. Have a nice day! Mayo

Hi,
You may want to have a look at this one: http://www.thirdageonline.eu/
I mention it because I know that a small part of this project has been supported by Wikimedia Switzerland (Wikimedia CH): https://www.wikimedia.ch/node/69.
Good luck!

Thank you Phoebe and all for the insights! I am amaze of how the activity around aged people has growth in the late year and a half.
PD: I was trying to find the video of the workshop Phoeve refered to on "How to motivate older people to become active wikipedian" at last Wikimania (http://wikimania2012.wikimedia.org/wiki/Submissions/How_to_motivate_older_pe...) However, I could not recognize it at the list of videos at the youtuve channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/wikimediadc). Do not know because there is not video of that session or becouse the titleing of the videos is done in a way that does not facilitate recognizing it. If someone how if exist or where I could find that video, thank you for the help.
Thank you all again and have a nice day! Mayo
