Greetings,
I am part of a group lead by Prof. Chitu Okoli from Concordia Universist (Montreal, Canada) and we are working on an updated lit review for Wikipedia that would be presented at Wikimania soon. We will be updating the list as well.
Our work is on Peer-reviewed journal because of the required academic rigor.
It is of prime importance to keep this list up to date as it would save researchers huge efforts.
I would call for a systematic update in order to make sure that the list is as complete as possible. By that I mean, that people can add their explanations of how and when they have done the update and whether any kind of test was used in order to make sure that the list includes all the papers that would appear in Proquest database for example.
Best regards,
Bilal Abdul Kader

Dear all,
I would like to draw your attention to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Wikipedia_in_academic_studies Our older members may be familiar with it, but it may be a useful resource for the new ones. And this resource is in need of our assistance!
A year ago I've done my best to update this article, and I am pretty confident it lists all Wikipedia-related articles (presented or published in journals) up to mid-2008. Since then, I have not been updating it as comprehensively, and the previously nearly exponential trend in Wikipedia-related article growth seems to have leveled off - or as I expect, this page is simply missing about half (or more?) of Wikipedia-related articles published/presented since mid-2008.
If you know of any articles that are missing from that page, please consider updating it. I think it is the most comprehensive, user-friendly and (not the least important) not-in-danger-of-ever-going-down resource listing research in our nascent field, but it does rely, as any wiki page, on a collaborative effort to maintain it :)
