ptolemy is running under:
Oracle Solaris 10 9/10 s10x_u9wos_14a X86
I try to look at syslog of ptolemy. Answer:
cannot open `syslog' for reading: Permission denied:

Which OS is ptolemy?
If it was killed by the OOM, it should have been logged by syslog,
including memory used by the process at the slaughter time.
