Hi Wikimania2010 organizing team,
do you have a plan to provide the broader audience with live streaming
from the venue? If not yet,
would you like to organize it or to help people interested in set it up?
I wonder if we in Japan can manage a meeting to watch a live streaming
of opening ceremony together
at a local conference which is eventually scheduled on July 9 and 10.
It will be around 16h at the local time, unless this year it happens
in the Polish afternoon,
and it won't be difficult to set up a meeting for people in Japan.
Already some people have showed an inerest.
On the other hand I have no webcam nor experience of streaming, so
your help will be great, and besides that,
I think streaming the conference will be great: in 2005 I enjoyed very
much webradio from the venue.
Any thought?
Cheers,

Dear Wikipedians, Wikimedians, participants and contributors:
In the name of the Wikimania 2009 organization team, I would like to
thank you all for being part of Wikimania 2009.
We enjoyed very much hosting last years conference, but needed some rest
after so much work. So now, after the austral summer vacations, we would
like to share with you our review of the organisation and realization of
Wikimania 2009. This Post Mortem[1] includes the survey we conducted, a
very simple statistical analysis of it, and our conclusions from both
the survey and internal review.
Everyone is invited to take a look at our closing work and leave any
comments[2] you'd like to share. We hope organizators of future
Wikimanias and Wiki-conferences will find all this information useful.
I would like to thank again everyone who made Wikimania 2009 possible,
including the participants who made an big effort to assist, the hard
working local team, and all those who contributed to make things work.
Hoping to see you in Gdańsk,
Patricio Lorente,
President of Wikimedia Argentina

Dear Friends:
I would like someone to help me know how I can go with a couple of
colleagues to present a project we have in our university.
I need to know who to contact to request a space to exhibit our
project, and how we apply and the deadline.
Greetings
Hi all,
I have recently been asked to see if we can't put together some
easy-to-find FAQ for recommendations to teams who want to bid for
Wikimania. Rather than recreate the wheel, I wanted to see if anyone
could remember any previous efforts that have gone toward such a work,
and if anyone from current or previous bidders want to help out in
putting a list of questions together that bidding teams would want
answered.
I know that many requirements have never been set in stone, and we've
generally picked on a "best bid" basis, as a combination of all that the
local area has to offer.
Cary
