The reason why it is top posted is because that is the default action that google mail does. As I am writing from a mobile device, it is impossible for me to change that default. (google mobile mail hides comments on the assumption that you can just scroll up through the mail history.)
So for me, in this instance, I have no choice.

What does that mean? Google tells me it means "I fixed your post for you", but you don't seem to have made any changes to the emails you are replying to when you quote them...
