You're stretching here. WP:V and WP:NOR are en.wikipedia policies, not
foundation principles, and could certainly be overridden or overthrown
by sufficient consensus. They were established by consensus and derive
their authority from consensus anyway. I believe it is the case that
en.wp is rare amoung projects in having a verifiability policy at all.
One foundation issue that hasn't been mentioned in this discussion is
the "wiki process" as a central method of deciding content.

I think you are the one that's stretching. Verifiability and No original research are
fundamental policies and enforced as such.
