Subject: [WikiEN-l] yet another credential idea...
Why not just have no credential stuff at all? I mean, it doesn't
matter if the writer is an expert or not (since facts have to be
verified and attributed nonetheless) and creds only hurt. Why not just
disallow use of credentials while editing? Or maybe even allow a user
to claim they have a BA in X, but not mention it editing? Just a
thought.

So long as folks are honest, it is usually useful to know someone's expertise and the
basis for it, even if if it only skillful reading and understanding, the essential
lawyer's skill.
