Well, I consider myself a deletionist-leaning Wikipedian, but I can assure
you that many deletionist Wikipedians don't operate or think that way. This
is a relatively recent phenomenon; incidents of article vandalism and
incivility towards those who make an article worth keeping were quite rare a
year or two ago. Many old-school deletionists focus just as much on writing
articles as they do on discussing their deletion.
