This fails utterly. The usual method of abuse is for someone to say "that
doesn't count as improving Wikipedia". Usually this means someone claims that
1) some other rule defines what it means to improve Wikipedia (at which point
IAR becomes useless, of course), or 2) external considerations like not
harming BLP subjects don't "improve Wikipedia" since they don't help
readers
of Wikipedia articles.
