read the NYTimes Magazine article on Wikipedia a couple weeks ago? That was
a much more valid and considered piece of journalism than this. You're
absolutely right about the style of both pieces, they aren't digging for a
scoop, they're reporting on the progress of the subject. But just because it
isn't investigative doesn't mean it has nothing of value to say.
I meant that it is what it is and was ideally tuned to its audience.
They certainly put in the effort and I think they got a pretty good
result.
