Really? I would say that there is pretty strong consensus that

Yes, of course there is a consensus about THAT. I didn't mean that we
have no consensus about ANYTHING.

have abandoned their accounts and/or the project as a direct result of
Brandt's activities?
Yes, of course I know about it.
What I meant is that there does not seem to be any consensus about the
idea of unblocking him now as a part of a negotiation process to get all
those bad things stopped. Some have been critical, and have given good
reasons. Others have been supportive, and have given good reasons.
The question of whether a particular good faith gesture in an effort to
create an atmosphere of good will which may lead to a more favorable
outcome for both sides will actually WORK or not is a valid question, of
course.
