When they argue about policy with longtime editors who actually know something about policy, they *are* doing harm. They are wasting the time and trying the patience of someone who is actually contributing to the goal of the project.

Also, I stopped using my name / providing personal details on this project after a particularly offensive statement was made on this list regarding my step-son. I have realised there are too many bad people here, and too few measures taken against them for me to feel comfortable or safe being less than anonymous.
