But [[honorary degree|honourary degree]] does - apparently at many
American universities, LLD is only given on an honorary basis.
I would have expected Jimbo to get a Doctorate of Letters, if they
were going to give him an honourary degree, that would be the more
usual thing for someone like Jimbo (see [[Doctor of Letters]]).
