I wouldn't think Apple or IBM would be appropriate, as they are both profit-making companies. It wouldn't be NPOV to link to them. Incidentally, I agree with you about Slashdot, and Britannica. Perhaps a Wikipedia mirror - I know we don't particularly like them, but it would be our own information.
