Nobody has a right to edit at
wikipedia.org. We are all simply granted that
privilege and that privilege can technically and legally be revoked at any time
and without notice for any or all editors.
But we do try to only revoke editing privileges when it is really necessary.
So our social norms and policies try to strike a balance.
At least that is my view of things.
