Forwarding. Per the page on Meta, for this grants program, "The funding is
aimed primarily at user groups and smaller Wikimedia chapters; participants
from the Global South <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_South> are
especially encouraged to apply."

Subject: [Wikimania-l] Grants funding available for GLAM projects in the
Global South
To: <Wikimania-l(a)lists.wikimedia.org>
Hi all
What interesting GLAM projects are people running in the Global South?
Especially ones relating to data (but doesn't have to be). Wikimedia
Sverige have some small grants available and we would like to actively
encourage people to apply. Any links to anything written down would be
super helpful.
https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/FindingGLAMs/Minor_grants
Thanks
John

Hello, I would also be interested in helping out! If the Jacob LAWRENCE Gallery can be of service in any way, let me know!
Very best,

the Credibility Coalition to put on a great event with reliability as a
central theme.
Session proposals are open: We are pleased to announce that we are
accepting submissions for WCNA lectures, panels, workshops, etc. Visit our
submissions page on the conference wiki to learn more and start your
submission. Submissions are due by September 20th (or September 27th for
academic proposals).

Hello Cascadia Wikimedian User Group,
The Labor Archives of Washington and UW Libraries Research Commons are planning an edit a thon (tentatively for Saturday November 2, 2019.) I am contacting your group to ask about how to involve the Cascadia Wikimedian User Group.
Themes: Labor themes, including women, people of color and historically underrepresented communities that lack Wikipedia entries. There will be an emphasis on The Seattle General Strike, Centralia Tragedy of 1919 and related entries because 2019 is the centennial of these events.
We are starting to meet to plan in advance of the edit a thon, and we want to actively involve Wikipedians in the area and learn from your experience. Is there still a monthly meetup happening at Café Allegra where I can consult/announce? Would a rep be interested in attending our next planning meeting or vice versa?
Thank you for considering it,
Conor Casey
