That's not the sort of stuff we are talking about. But suppose someone put up an article on one of his kids? Extensive investigation and coverage of him has produced a significant corpus of material.

True enough. Oswald nevertheless would never have been notable save for that one event. Jack Ruby too would have been one step further removed from fame. I think that Erik's point is a good place to start from, but when a rule is taken too rigidly we end eliminating an article on someone like Oswald.. Eugene makes a valid point. If articles are to be written on his kids they would need to have their own notability. Erik's test is a good one for inclusion, but not for exclusion.
