Is PIzza Puzzle the same person as Lir? Is Hawthorn the same paerson as Pizza Puzzle?
I'm getting fed up with their bowdlerization of maths articles.

Pizza Puzzle should be given the benefit of the doubt, regardless of his identity. I've briefly given my reasons for this at:

So far, Pizza Puzzle has made many valuable contributions to Wikipedia, and I sincerely hope this continues.
Is Hawthorn the same paerson as Pizza Puzzle?
No. Hawthorn is Ian Hawthorn, a Kiwi mathematician who has been actively fighting PP's attempts to change the maths articles.

Please be tolerant.

So am I actually. When I replied to you, I hadn't read the rest of the discussion on this issue. But I have now and I still stand by what I said. Perhaps this is a Lir reincarnation, but it's different this time.

As far as I've seen, this calculus thing is the first real argument he's gotten into, and that was settled quickly and reasonably. PP backed down. And making lots of minor edits, thereby wasting disk space, is not on our list of bannable offences at this time.

Sorry, maybe I'm letting my silly morals get in the way of some good old fashioned banning. Go for your life, Erik.

As I said previously, if a banned user returns while still under his ban, it should take relatively little or nothing for that ban to be enforced. But since several people have come out in defense of Lir, I'll wait with doing so.

Erik
