Tannin says he has difficulty posting to the mailing list and I offered to do so on his behalf.
He blocked a signed-in-user, Lord Kenneth, on his own initiative. There is currently a quickpoll in order to validate the block. Lord Kenneth is alleged to have vandalized of a number of pages, including user pages, cleanup, and pages in the main namespace.

This might have nothing to do with it, but when I met him on IRC he was pretty abusive, rude, and opinionated. Just thought I'd point that out.
