Dear Lord. I'm tempted to "bid" just to make sure it doesn't get done. =P

That would be bidding in bad faith!
No, no. It's absolutely necessary to do the job ... then undo it. And let someone know who it is for the spam filter.

"Please, only bid if you understand the cultural reference that I used in the first and last sentences of this project message. I need someone with a solid understanding of English and American culture here, and if you can tell me in my PMB what the references are referring to, this lets me know you are up to the job. A test, I guess you could say."
This one was funny. The cultural references in the first and last sentence merely show that he's way out of touch with current American culture and he's going to be in for a rude surprise if he hires someone to deal with modern American culture based on their understanding of the first and last sentence of this ridiculous post.
I wonder how much it pays though? I'm tired of being a starving artist--I want money, that's what I want.

Oh well, we all know I'd crap out on the website design part after the latest admission that I couldn't figure out the difference between reply and reply all, so I guess it will have to go to that other bidder.

On past form, that would last for about thirty links... maybe a few more, assuming he only targeted really obscure works.
