In my opinion this is as nothing to the problems they themselves cause. Well, I dont think Srubenstein was whining. He actually accepted the block in a very respectful and decent manner. I do think, however, that continually attacking him hardly helps to alleviate this situation and can only serve to exacerbate a situation which otherwise seems to be resolving itself nicely. Please stop.

"There is nothing I can do about it, but I do want to point out (and for now, this is the only available venue) that I think this is an example of a frivolous application of the rule," is a whine.

Oh please give it a rest, Tony. This man has raised some excellent points about the implications of the 3RR that, whether you agree or not, are thought provoking. Discussion has followed, and perhaps this might lead to some fine-tuning. I hope so, as it sounds like he was doing nothing but helping the article, and although it may have applied literally, it probably shouldn't.
I'm sorry that it offends you and interferes with your advocacy of the zero-tolerance approach to Wikipedia users (who, I should point out, are voluntarily giving up their free time to help out with this project to create a top-quality encyclopaedia and consequently deserve more than a little appreciation).
Have a heart, and if you can't do that, at least accept that you've said your piece.
Jake.

I am not in favor of a zero-tolerance approach to Wikipedia users.
As this seems to be getting out of hand I suggest any further communications addressed to me on this subject go via direct email.
I've already detailed the manner in which I feel both the facts of the case and my personal opinion have been repeatedly misrepresented. Anyone who hasn't gotten the message yet won't learn more by reading further responses from me.
