This thread is hueger than Xbox.
Can someone please summarize it into a short, easy-to-read version?
In fact, someone should do that for every thread: make a short, concise summary of what each person said, so that the layman (like me) can see what was said without busting his back to read 500 replies.

Admin made misjudged block, lots of people got very upset, ArbCom case is under consideration, admin resigned her admin bit, others claimed a secret cabal was behind the blockings (on wiki and on this list), yet others looked at the second others funny. There's lots of extra detail in there, but I think that covers the highlights.

You forgot the "sooper seekrit mailing list" which may or may not have been used to coordinate the affair.

That was covered in the secret cabal. You can't be a good secret cabal without a mailing list, an IRC channel, a private wiki, a beer and an airline.

The airline must own and operate at least one black helicopter, too...

We appear to be having a quick London wikimeet next Wednesday evening, 5th Dec, at a pub in Holborn. See wikimediauk-l.

I would have said something like "Gee, I can't think of anyone twisted enough to arrange a sort of contest wherein all the other mailing list subscribers try to outdo each other in the fine art of gross oversimplification." But in a comment like that I would clearly be mistaken. Or lying. Or woefully naive (depending on where one draws the line).
