Try doing what I do on science controversies:
1. If someone reverts a perfectly good edit (in your humble opinion), quit for the day. Go and work on a different article.
2. Try to get to know your fellow contributors. Dr. C. and I disagree on a lot of stuff, but in the process of dialogue I've discovered quite a bit that we _do_ agree on.
