I don't see it as the same situation. Rape shield laws are designed to protect a victim from unwanted attention. There's nothing that says her name will ever be printed by reputable press outlets.

A simple and safe course of action would be for us to follow the lead of other reputable press outlets.
I don't consider this a cut-and-dried matter, though. Particularly if Kobe Bryant is ultimately found not guilty, I think that the situation may change.
