There's a deletion debate on the Icelandic & English Wikipedia that I'd like to bring your attention to, it concerns an article on an Icelandic individual which has been getting front page coverage in Icelandic newspapers recently and is for those reasons as well as others, in my opinion, clearly notable enough to have an encyclopedia article about.
The articles in question are http://is.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stef%C3%A1n_H._%C3%93feigsson and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stef%C3%A1n_H._%C3%93feigsson and the deltion listing (both by the same user) are at http://is.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spjall:Stef%C3%A1n_H._%C3%93feigsson#Atkv.C3.A6... and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Stef%C3%A1n_H._...

There's currently overwhelming support to keep the article on the English Wikipedia but not on the Icelandic Wikipedia.

That's odd to say the least. What reasons are those Icelanders using to delete it? My Icelandic is seriously rusty, so I can't really read the debate there.
