Some free, some not For instance "Reproduction for commercial purposes is prohibited. The cover page, which contains these terms and conditions, must be included in all distributed copies. It is not permitted to post this book for downloading in any other web location, though links to this page may be freely given." from "Logic for COmputer Science". A few ones GFDL, many without a copyright statement.

Well, considering that we're an encyclopaedia and not a textbook, I'm proposing that we reproduce the material verbatim. But they could make good sources, as they're publicly accessible on the internet. That helps both writing and verifying.

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Public_domain_resources (and related pages linked from the sidebar there including GFDL resources, maps, etc).
