This has to stop. There is now a Wikipedians against censorship wikiproject, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Wikipedians_against_censo... . How is any of this going to get us anywhere? Isn't [[WP:NOT]] censored already? Do we really need wikiprojects to oppose the basic foundation of the project, and vfds, and vfds of vfds, and opposing wikiprojects against them?
It looks like this is all a big ForestFire that needs to be stopped immediately. VFD should never touch Wikipedia: namespace, VFDs should never be VFD'd, WikiProjects should never be created to wage war with other WikiProjects. What do we do now? :(

Ignore them and they will go a away. There is little fuel for this fire. A tiny a number of images and that is it.

And three of the four images targeted by the WfD have been deleted by me because they have been on IFD for a week, no source was provided and they had no use in the Wiki.

Perhaps we can recruite the 'five very powerful Japanese built multilingual internet-crawling robots (Toshiba ML-2274) situated around the world' that clean the internet once a year... I hear they are looking for work.

Er - WikiProjects are supposed to be used to generate agree-upon standards to use in the presentation of a tightly related set of articles. This, however, looks like an advocacy group. I am not sure I'm comfortable with that.

I'd say that that is a bit narrow of a definition of a wikiproject. For instance Countering Systematic Bias, Spoken Wikipedia and WikiProject Grammar are all well established wikiprojects that don't follow your definition. I'm sure there are plenty more, but those are just off the top of my head. Can't we just say that a wikiproject is a project to improve a specialized area of wikipedia? I think that is a much better way to define it.
