In light of petty squabbles, I decided to bring back the non-stupid thread fad.

Though not my favorite (not sure what that would be), I enjoy [[List of lists of fictional thingshttp://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_lists_of_fictional_things&redirect=no]] which someone renamed to just [[Lists of fictional thingshttp://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_lists_of_fictional_things&redirect=no]] (a simpler name, but not nearly so amusing).

[[Milwaukee, Wisconsin]] or [[Michelle Kwan]]. I've worked on both -- actually it probably wouldn't be that much work to get Kwan up to FA status; it just hasn't been done yet. I'm from Milwaukee and it would just be cool to see that be featured.

[[Image:Cyanocitta-cristata-004.jpg]] , a beautiful picture of a Blue Jay. It's my wallpaper at work, and my coworker liked it so much it's her wallpaper now too.

Wow, Wisconsin, eh? I hear that's a really bad place. At least that's what these two guys with wings on their backs told me, right before they convinced a nun that God doesn't exist...
(blatant movie reference, carry on!)

I think [[Mildred Harnack]]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mildred_Harnack
should get some attention from the Wisconsin project and could be worked into a FA; fascinating story, the drama of her Arrest, trial, and death could be expanded with more details. Amazing there isn't a high school named for her in Milwaukee.

My own favourite is [[Xenu]]. It was the numbah one source during Tom Cruise's public meltdown in 2005. And for obvious reasons, it's referenced to the hilt.
- If there was an article you'd love to see become FA, which one and why?
FAC now seriously considers defeaturing articles because their references aren't in whatever is the current fashion on FAC; I feel the point is being lost somewhere.

I love that I can look up an obscure *anything* or *anyone* in English Wikipedia and have a passing chance of finding at least a few paragraphs. We appear to have achieved usefulness! (Which you could tell from our completely silly popularity. But anyway.)

I should add the really fun part was seeing sentences I'd written lifted directly by the media. Hell yeah, use my stuff ;-D

So what's it like having your own SP declare?

Well, I don't *know* I do - "if it isn't written it isn't true," and I haven't seen the actual paper. They seem reluctant to let people near the actual paper these days.
I have had actual paper legal threats from an actual lawyer, not just emailed ones. And the ISP hosting my site on the subject [*] has balls so big they eclipse the Sun.

Scientology leadership declares that anyone who is involved in "deliberately keeping people out of Scientology" or somesuch is a Suppressive Person (as opposed to a PTS, a Potential Trouble Source, who is merely to be watched closely).
SP's are fair game for harassment, legal attacks, and pretty much anything else Scientologists can come up with in order to try and destroy them or at least their reputation. Once you've officially had an "SP Declare", no Scientologist is allowed to talk with you, do business with you, or anything like that, and if they're brought forth in a court of law with you involved (especially if Scientology lawyers brought the lawsuit), they're religiously bound to lie as nastily as possible to try to destroy you.
Anyone who's had run-ins with Scientology before knows about it, but they try to keep it a secret the rest of the time, to keep the suckers, er, "customers" coming in.

I'd make an attempt to answer the questions, but I'd probably bore en-l readers with tropical cyclones. :P
Favourite anything, though, would technically not be on wikipedia. Rather, it's something you (and I) have been a part of - the Wikipedia Weekly podcast. It's great. </plug>

Mascot? Wikipe-tan because there is enough source material for those of use who can't draw to be able to create derivatives (not everyone may agree that this is a good thing).

I'd like more articles on fundamental topics (especially scientific articles like [[nature]], [[universe]], [[atom]], &c.) to be featured. They just seem much harder to cover because there's so much content to fit in and so many people know about them and want different aspects introduced/emphasised.

This is a vexed question - it's so much easier to make feature on a specialist topic because everyone doesn't consider themselves an instant expert. Though a few general topics have made FA.
