The Esquire article is finished! You can see the final version at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Improve_this_article_about_WIkipedia
Thanks to everyone who participated.
Here's a thank-you passed on from AJ Jacobs of Esquire:
----- Hello Wikipedians,
I just wanted to thank you all so much for participating in this experiment. It was absolutely fascinating. I was riveted to my computer, pressing refresh every 45 seconds to see the next iteration. And the next and the next. For the last few days, my wife has been what you might call a Wikipedia Widow.
I feel like I should submit all my articles to the community to get them Wikipedia-ized. I can't wait to print this in Esquire magazine.
Thanks again.

Presumably GFDL will apply when he publishes this in Esquire.

So is it possible to specify that other pages are PD, even within the context of the GFDL Wikipedia?
-N.
No, this was an exception. We need to keep all articles GFDL to ensure that people doesn't steal our stuff and don't attribute us or put it under a proper license

See [[Wikipedia:Multi-licensing]] for more about that.

Kat and I thought about the GFDL issue when starting the article. We figured since Press releases were PD and since this was close enough to a press release PD would be the best choice, considering that printing the entire text of the GFDL in Esquire was not an option.
And agreed, this has to stay an exception.
Best,

There's nothing in the GFDL that says you can't put it in 8 point font, is there? :P
Oh well, it would have been interesting to GFDL it, but I don't have a problem with making specific things PD. Heck, I do it for all my minor edits to articles :)
put it in 1pt font :P
