Irrelevant.
The English language version is spelt "Wikipedia".
You do, of course, have the right to show yourself off as ignorant, stubborn and foolish if you want.

Does it really matter?
I really hate when people bring up typos when trying to prove some wrong on the internet.

It's a pretty poor way to argue something, but I don't think it was a typo.

No. You evidently missed the main point of my email, which he snipped in his reply which you quoted.
Was that really called for?

Posting private emails on the list is about as rude as you can get.
I don't think using one particular spelling of 'Wikipedia' (which isn't a real word anyway) is particularly ignorant or foolish.

On a par with sending emails privately to a fellow member of a mailing list who has made it quite clear to you that he does not wish to receive direct email from you.

It's "not a real word" because it's a proper noun. Spelling of real words is fluid; that of names is not. Being stubborn about something when you're right is one thing; being stubborn about something when you're wrong is, in my view, foolish.
Anyway, I think we've been trolled into a sidetrack enough, so I shall withdraw from this thread at this point.
James.

Not all of us are American.

Woot! I have been upgraded from 'liar' to 'ignorant, stubborn and foolish'! I'll take that as a compliment.
Are you sure you didn't want this email sent privately?

The name of the site in any dialect of English is "Wikipedia". In British English, Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, in American English, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, but either way, it's still called Wikipedia.
