Is it? Well, you can always disable the content filter for your kids.

Or the alternative: we can decide what kinds of offense are reasonable to accommodate and what kinds aren't, rather than making a blanket policy just so we don't have to decide. This will, of course, be harder, but then nobody ever said making an encyclopedia was easy.

Actually it is fairly trivial. We leave it to a third party. It would be fairly simple to create a Firefox plugin that blocked wikipedia images on certain lists and allowed people to select which lists they wanted to use. Have it constructed so that people can add and share their own lists and we have a far more effective way of dealing with any problems.
