Yeah, I have no idea where this "usability" rubbish comes from! Make the damn users work themselves: computers should ship with a Linux-based TUI OS. ;)
Ideally, there would be an easy way (a button or a toggled option, perhaps) which would enable users to turn of the in-line aspect of referencing. The devs are a bit too busy at the moment though.
