Per what Jimmy said and common sense, we'll blank AFDs normally on request or if there's a good reason to do so. However, it would be a good idea to document who requested it and why - either in the summary field for the blanking edit or on the talk page.
It's understandable that we might not want our AFD debate being the #1 Google return for someone's name or even a company name - partly because our debates can be sometimes a bit bare-knuckle. I'd rather hide the debate after the fact than try to make people be less forthright in their opinions!

Due to recent changes to http://en.wikipedia.org/robots.txt, AFD debates no longer show up in Google, or other search engines that respect [[robots.txt]] (most do).
