Good lord, what happened to [[WP:FAITH]]? No messages were left on the IP talk page and the conclusion that "Skyring is using 213.x.x.x" seems to be based purely on style and/or content over the course of 5 edits. Isn't it more likely that a completely different person, in Ireland, possibly Irish, made these edits?
I refer you to [[Occam's Razor]]; equally, I refer you to [[Hanlon's Razor]].

However going by the email it is pretty clear that it is skyring so it isn't a problem.

Over 300 edits have been made to well over 100 articles. Only a fraction of the IPs used are listed above.
He has now begun setting up new names to go onto pages and pose as neutral observers coming on to defend Skyring.
In addition he has blitzed various users with spam.

I can't look them up to confirm this, but I suspect Telstra and Optus.

From everything that I've seen written here about Skyring,
if it is correct then we returned to the point we were at a few months ago when it appeared that a group of neo-Nazis might take over Wikipedia, & Jimbo announced that he would take any measure to prevent them. In other words, extreme remasures are now needed -- for example, either a DMCA lawsuit or finding some muscular hard cases who will "discourage" him from making further posts to Wikipedia. (Yes, I'm joking about the last option. Mostly.)
If that is the case, I hope a first step before this would be to talk to the ISPs involved first -- even if they blow us off, then seek the help of any Internet activists in Australia. That way, when we do something extreme like block all anons & new accounts from Australia, it will help minimize the ill will that ensues.
Not sure what else I could contribute to this discussion. He's become a difficult problem, & all of the easy solutions have been tried & shown not to work. And he's gotten to the point where attacking Wikipedia has become his life: calling that "pathetic" doesn't properly do it justice.
