Yeah, "sock puppets" make more sense than "meat puppets." I think it's not well thought out to include the two together.

That's the reason why in another thread I proposed the term "posse" to replace it. That way, instead of saying that the creator of webcomic FooBarBaz brought "meatpuppets" to AFD, you say "He brought a posse". Closer still should still give their votes the same weight as he would if we were still calling them "meatpuppets".

Let's make it an official policy then. You can't call anyone a sockpuppet or meatpuppet. Only posse. HAve you posted on WP:AN and WP:VP ?

Oh "sockpuppet" is quite apropriate, It's just "meatpuppet" I think should go. However, I don't want to make anybody do anything. That would be as unrealistic as Hormel insisting that junk email not be called "spam".
