I, for one, appreciate the gesture.
What I would really like is for him to come here and join in the policy discussions. There seems to be an emerging consensus here for a faster process for dealing with some of the problems that he seems to care a lot about, and his refusal to join the policy discussions is unfortunate, because he may have useful thoughts to offer.
