I have seen cases where conflict has been instrumental in failuree of an RFA - this happens primarily when the opposing party in the conflict happens to be a trusted and well-respected admin/editor with mre activity. Oppose votes are too many in such cases and disproportionate to the offence involved. This could be despite the fact that the matter is not black-and-white but grey or that this person was a newbie at that time.

If it was easier to desysop admins, maybe it wouldn't have to be like that. People probably vote no because they're afraid that the admin will continue the same conflict, but with power. Why not wait and see if they do, then desysop them if it's unmanageable...
