Regardless, plot summaries are addressed as I pointed out already, within
policy, so there is no reason to invoke IAR in this circumstance.
This is somewhat orthogonal to the discussion at hand, but I feel I
need to comment here. I speak only for myself, but I, at least, Ignore
All Rules every time I do anything. The only time I don't Ignore All
Rules is if I am not sure what to do. The reason for this is that I
tend to have fairly good judgment, and therefore my actions typically
(I flatter myself) benefit wikipedia. In such cases, whether my
actions are according to any particular rules is immaterial. All that
matters is that wikipedia is benefited. Period.
There's a reason IAR is a core policy of wikipedia, and that reason is
most emphatically *not* "ensuring that people don't follow it except
in extraordinary situations".
