This used to be called [[Wikipedia:Vanity guidelines]]. Are there any good writers at a loose end and feeling strong enough to go through this de-vanitising it?

Just to be clear, are you saying that the page needs to be rewritten to avoid the word "vanity"? Seems like a good idea, it is a fairly insulting term.

To avoid it except mentioning that libelling people by implication is probably a bad idea.
Remember: that NYT article was just an amused look into the wacky world of Wikipedia. We're very mainstream now. (How on earth did that happen?!)
