Where a majority of people voting to ban user:Liberal.
'User:Non-liberals are stupid' is, of course, much worse.

That vote was to ban user:Liberal, not the other name.

Yes, but there was an ongoing discussion about the ban in general and there was no immediate need for the ban. On User:Non-liberals are stupid's user page, it specifically said that all discussion on banning should still go on that same talk page. LDan

They wanted to ban User:Liberal because he was using multiple accounts. Not one person on that talk page wanted to ban User:Liberal because of his actual username. If you used the multiple-account rationale for banning User:Non-liberals are stupid, I wouldn't object, because that's clearly what the vote concluded. BTW, what's our multiple username policy? LDan

There's no specific policy against it, but it's generally considered uncool unless you have a good reason.
I would say that multiple usernames are really only a problem if they are used as a method of troublemaking of some sort. For example, to generate an appearance of consensus, or to vote more than once, or to hide from public scrutiny.

Someone named User:Tester seems to have created multiple user names today. He's created User:Groessler User:Opus33 User:Wartortle User:Josh Cherry User:Donnie Ng and User:Tester. He then immediately went to the VfD page as Donnie Ng and placed several opinions on whether to keep articles or not. This behavior has me curious.
